Inteco Siberia vows to address wage problems

Updated Article:

The Big Cheese at "Inteko Siberia," the principal contractor for the construction of the "Kadalin" industrial park, allegedly swears that the ongoing wage problems for workers will be sorted out pronto – a whopping 221 employees haven't seen a dime for two whole months. Dubbed Sergei Korotkov, our reliably connected source chatted it up with our veteran journalist about the situation.

A quick refresher: As of April 18, the mind-boggling debt owed to employees had surged to nearly 27 million rubles. Earlier, Korotkov shed light on the pay delays, confessing that the crunch was due to a cash flow snag with "Udokan Copper," which froze over in February.

Meanwhile, "Udokan Copper" vehemently denied they own any debt obligations to "Inteko Siberia."

Matters got murkier when an anonymous worker allegedly claimed they were pressured to pen a resignation letter. However, the director of "Inteko Siberia" flatly denies such claims.

"Nobody's been forced to write a resignation letter," Korotkov insisted. "It's each worker's call whether to hang tough and wait for the dough, or bite the bullet and move on." He remained confident that the wage crisis would be squared away in no time. Regarding "Udokan Copper," Korotkov stressed that they'd shown great restraint amidst the pandemonium. He added that constructive dialogues have been held, and if not for "Udokan Copper," the situation could've been far grimmer.
