Investment company Gresham House Ventures promotes a new leader for its portfolio division.
In an exciting development, Gresham House Ventures has announced the appointment of Jens Duing as Head of Portfolio, Private Equity. This strategic move is part of several major hires aimed at bolstering the company's senior team.
Jens Duing, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience supporting growth businesses, brings a wealth of knowledge to Gresham House Ventures. His extensive career began in 2002 at Dresdner Kleinwort, followed by stints at Pioneer Point Partners, Fidelity Equity Partners, Apax, and most recently, as a Senior Partner at Frog Capital.
In his new role, Duing will work alongside Trevor Hope, Managing Director and CIO, and will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio management and the development of value creation strategies for portfolio companies. Trevor Hope expressed his excitement about Duing's appointment, stating that his expertise will play a valuable role in supporting portfolio companies to deliver great returns for investors.
The appointment of Duing is not the only new addition to Gresham House Ventures. Marieke Christmann has also joined as a Portfolio Director this year, while Rohit Mathur and Alex Yanitsky have been appointed as Investment Partners.
Gresham House Ventures has been actively investing in promising UK early-stage businesses, with recent investments including a £4mn investment into competitive socialising operator Spinners and a £4.1mn investment into marketing analytics platform Ask Bosco. The company has also seen success in its exits, growing the revenue of clinical trials business Panthera Biopartners by more than 200% post-investment, and exiting from workforce management software business Rotageek.
Jens Duing's extensive experience across various sectors, including payment, insurance, healthcare, education technology, and property, will undoubtedly be beneficial for Gresham House Ventures as it continues to seek out and support promising UK businesses. With Duing on board, the company is well-positioned to take advantage of the strong demand for early-stage businesses in the UK.
