Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise Bolsters Fleet with Two New Mi-8MTV-1 Helicopters
Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise is set to bolster its fleet feet with two new Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters, RA-22567 and RA-22568. This farm and fleet addition, accepted into service at the Kazan Aviation Plant in December 2024, will enhance regional aviation capabilities and improve passenger transportation services.
The journey to transport the helicopters to Kamchatka will be extensive, covering a vast distance across Russia. The route will include stops in Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Bratsk, Lensk, Yakutsk, Okhotsk, Magadan, and finally, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. To ensure a smooth journey, additional fuel tanks will be equipped on the helicopters.
Each of these powerful machines comes with a hefty price tag of 515 million rubles. Despite the cost, the fleet farm expansion will increase flight frequency, benefiting passengers and the region's connectivity. The new helicopters are expected to arrive in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky by late 2023, ready to join the existing fleet of 12 aircraft and 10 helicopters.
The arrival of the Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters RA-22567 and RA-22568 will strengthen Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise's fleet feet and services. With an increased flight frequency, passengers can look forward to improved transportation options in the region.
