Klingel trademark gets transferred to new ownership

In a significant move, the central brand of the Klingel Group, "Vamos", will be sold to Weltbild D2C Group on January 31, 2024. This renowned shoe brand, known for marketing "healthy shoes", is set to be integrated into Weltbild’s portfolio.

The acquisition is part of Klingel's self-administration procedure and marks another "successful brand transaction". For Weltbild D2C Group, this move is aimed at expanding their own brand "Orbisana" with the acquired shoes, thereby strengthening their health and comfort footwear offerings.

The strategic acquisition has enabled Vamos to leverage Weltbild’s multichannel retail infrastructure, including their strong online presence and physical stores. This has expanded Vamos’s market reach and customer base, providing a positive impact on the health segment of the multichannel retailer.

Vamos, with its focus on orthopedic and comfort shoes, has helped Weltbild D2C Group enhance its health-oriented product range, attracting health-conscious consumers. This has contributed to increased sales and a more diversified product lineup in the health segment, supporting Weltbild’s goal to grow its direct-to-consumer channels with specialized, quality footwear.

Cord Henrik Schmidt, CEO of Klingel, has stated that the sale of Klingel brands is progressing positively. He also mentioned ongoing promising negotiations for further brands of the group. However, the purchase price for the brand "Vamos" was not disclosed in the announcement.

Notably, the brand sale was unanimously approved by the creditors' committee of Klingel, signifying a strengthened commitment of multichannel provider Weltbild in the health segment. This acquisition appears to have reinforced Weltbild’s position in the health segment, allowing both the shoe brand Vamos and the multichannel retailer to capitalise on synergies in product development, distribution, and marketing.

The strategic acquisition of Vamos by Weltbild D2C Group signifies a significant move in the finance and business sectors, as it represents another successful brand transaction for Klingel. This deal allows Weltbild to expand its Orbisana brand with the addition of Vamos shoes, offering a stronger focus on health and comfort footwear.

With Vamos now leveraging Weltbild’s multichannel retail infrastructure, it has extended its market reach, customer base, and positively impacted the health segment of the multichannel retailer, all elements of the industry that contribute to growth and success.
