LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC (LHB) has made a significant contribution of approximately Tk2.25 crore to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Fund, a government initiative under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. The handover ceremony, attended by Sarker Shoeb Ahmed, General Manager of Corporate Affairs at LHB, AKM Atiqur Rahman, Human Resources Director of LHB, and Neel Savio Azavedo, Business Development Director, saw LHB's representatives hand over a cheque to Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain, Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Md Munir Hossain Khan, Director General of the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation.
The contribution was made in accordance with the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, reaffirming LHB's commitment to the law and its dedication to worker welfare.
