Lizard Corporation Expands, Opens New Office in Copenhagen and Announces New Leadership Positions for MD and CEO
Lazard Expands Nordic Operations with Appointment of Jesper Jensen
Asset manager Lazard has expanded its Nordic operations with the appointment of Jesper Jensen as Managing Director, Financial Advisory, and the opening of a new office in Copenhagen.
Jean-Louis Girodolle, Co-Head of European Investment banking at Lazard, stated that the expansion is aimed at better addressing clients' needs in the region. Girodolle expressed confidence in Denmark, highlighting the country's strategic importance to Lazard's growth plans.
Jesper Jensen, who earned an M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School, will hold multiple roles within Lazard in Denmark. Before joining Lazard, Jensen worked as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Danish shipping company Maersk and held positions at Rothschild & Co and JP Morgan in London.
In his new role, Jensen will work closely with Victor Kastensson and Gustaf Slettengren, both based in Sweden. Kastensson and Slettengren are key figures in Lazard's Nordic operations. Jensen will also work closely with Kastensson, as previously stated.
Jensen's appointment reflects Lazard's determination to grow and better address clients' news in the Nordic region. However, it is important to note that Jensen will not serve as the CEO of Denmark, contrary to previous speculation.
The new office in Copenhagen is part of Lazard's Nordic expansion, but this fact has already been mentioned. The expansion involves not only the appointment of Jesper Jensen but also the opening of the new office in Copenhagen.
Jean-Louis Girodolle stated that the expansion is a testament to Lazard's commitment to the region and its clients. With the addition of Jesper Jensen and the new office in Copenhagen, Lazard is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of its clients in the Nordic region.
