Local initiatives receive funding and support for 34 projects aimed at integrating communities

The Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, and Integration has announced the funding of 34 integration projects across the state, as part of the 2025 funding call "Integration on the Ground - Strengthening Municipal Structures".

The state government is investing approximately 1.8 million euros in these projects, with each recipient receiving a grant of between 75% and 90% of the project cost. The maximum funding per project is 80,000 euros.

The focus of this year's funding is on projects that improve digital participation for people with a migration background. Projects that aim to improve encounters and exchanges in diverse society, promote social cohesion, and break down prejudices are also eligible for funding.

Projects that strengthen intercultural dialogue, enable eye-level encounters, and promote democratic foundations at the local level are also eligible for funding. Structures for honorary office guides and measures for culturally sensitive design of existing offers are also being funded, as in the previous year.

Secure access to digital technologies and services is considered a basic requirement for social participation. The funded projects are expected to address this need and contribute to the digital inclusion of people with a migration background.

The 34 selected integration projects were chosen from numerous applications received for the funding call. The funding process includes consultation by an independent expert panel, composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds, to ensure a fair and impartial decision-making process.

The search results do not provide specific information on which cities and municipalities will receive support in 2025 under the "Integration auf dem Boden - Stärkung kommunaler Strukturen" funding program. However, the ministry encourages all municipalities and free carriers to apply for funding in future rounds.

The ministry's contact information is available via email or a contact form on their website for any inquiries related to the funding call.
