Magadan Energy Company to Boost Solar Power Generation at Substation
In the heart of Magadan, a significant change is underway as PJSC 'Magadanenergo,' a part of the RusHydro Group, embarks on a project to modernize the 35 kV 'Solyarnaya' substation. This project forms part of RusHydro Group's efforts to improve the electricity infrastructure in Magadan.
The modernization project, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, aims to enhance the reliability and quality of electricity supply to the Solnechnyy microdistrict. Energy workers are replacing outdated equipment with modern power units of 10 MVA each, a move that will increase the total capacity of the substation from 12.6 MVA to 20 MVA.
This upgrade will not only improve the electricity supply to existing consumers but also adapt the substation to increased load due to Magadan's infrastructure and industry development. The modernized 'Solyarnaya' substation will be better equipped to handle the increased demand for electricity in Magadan.
The project does not require disconnecting existing consumers, ensuring a seamless transition for the residents and businesses of Solnechnyy microdistrict. PJSC 'Magadanenergo' has allocated 118.96 million rubles for the modernization of the 'Solyarnaya' substation, a testament to the company's commitment to the project.
The modernization project enables the connection of new consumers, including the construction of a ski jumping complex, a greenhouse complex, and an infectious disease hospital. These new additions will further boost Magadan's economy and quality of life.
The company responsible for the modernization of the 'Solyarnaya' substations in Magadan is Sber, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. As the project progresses, the people of Magadan can look forward to a more reliable and efficient electricity supply, paving the way for a brighter future.
