**Recent Appointments Shake Up Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Claims Services, and Consulting Sectors**

In a flurry of changes, several notable appointments have been made in the fields of surveying, engineering, architecture, claims services, and consulting. These appointments reflect ongoing leadership changes, acquisitions, and expansions, with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and multidisciplinary expertise in infrastructure and the built environment.

**Surveying & Engineering**

NorthStar Engineering, Planning, & Surveying has welcomed Teresa Enos-Wakefield as its new President, effective in 2023. Enos-Wakefield, who previously served as Director of Business Operations, brings over 25 years of leadership experience, including stints at a Fortune 500 company and as VP of Operations at a California energy firm. She now leads NorthStar, which provides comprehensive city engineering, technical reviews, on-call civil engineering, and land surveying services for municipalities and infrastructure projects.

Mekena Galka, an Associate Engineer at NorthStar, has been with the company for five years and has led impactful projects such as the Enloe Cancer Center and Silver Dollar Fair. Her experience spans a variety of civil engineering and planning assignments.

Bowman Consulting has recently acquired Robau & Associates, a Naples, FL-based firm specialising in civil engineering, water resources, and project management. This addition bolsters Bowman’s Florida expansion and brings extensive expertise and a diverse project portfolio to the table. Gary Graham, the Chief Engineer of Transportation at Bowman, recently participated in a Roads & Bridges interview discussing advanced bridge construction and technology. His expertise focuses on innovative infrastructure design and safety.

Kamlesh Kumar Maurya has taken on the role of Building Information Modelling (BIM) Lead for Bridges at WSP. He is an ICE Fellow, member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and specialises in digitally transforming infrastructure delivery. Maurya is an expert in computer-aided design and BIM for major projects like High Speed Two (HS2).

Professor Leon Black, of the University of Leeds, serves as Professor of Infrastructure Materials. With over 25 years of researching the durability of construction materials, particularly low-carbon concrete, he focuses on the impact of mix design on concrete performance and sustainability.

**Engineering & Consulting**

Greg Coleman has recently been appointed to a new leadership position within the Coleman Company Inc. The company background is in engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and land surveying, indicating leadership in multidisciplinary consulting services.

**Architecture**

Niralee, a technical expert in architecture, serves as an expert witness on various architectural issues at Ridge and Partners LLP. She has recently shifted her focus to expert witness services, specialising in technical issues related to architecture.

**Claims Services & Building Surveying**

Andrew Allmark serves as a Chartered Building Surveyor and expert in claims services at Ridge and Partners LLP. With 30 years in the industry, including running his own practice, Allmark focuses on defects analysis, expert reporting, and dispute resolution for both commercial and residential properties. He is also experienced in dilapidations and energy assessments, as well as advising on accessibility.

**Additional Appointments**

McLarens has appointed Danny Miller as Chief Global Strategy Officer (CGSO).

Pierre-Edouard Fraigneau has been appointed as president, Europe, at Liberty Specialty Markets, effective from September 1.

Benjamin Faerestrand has been appointed as UK High Net Worth Household Underwriter at Liberty Specialty Markets to spearhead LSM’s launch into the HNW market.

Liberty Specialty Markets' strategic entry into UK HNW demonstrates a commitment to building a differentiated Lloyd's proposition in the market.

Paul Brockman has been appointed as group chief executive officer at RiverStone International Holdings, succeeding Luke Tanzer who will retire later this year.

Broadstone has appointed Rob Kerry as Actuarial Director.

David Kellaway has been appointed as a regional manager in Birmingham at Gateley Smithers Purslow.

Willis has appointed Adrian Cousins as Head of London Market Claims.

BMS has appointed Cory Wilson to the role of Director.

James Swatton has been appointed as Senior Distribution Leader in Asia at AXA Global Healthcare, effective immediately.

Andrew Creed has been appointed as group president at RiverStone International Holdings, in addition to his role as group chief financial officer.

Mark Damico has been appointed as President and Chief Operating Officer of Torrent Technologies, Victor's flood insurance technology and services business in the US, effective July 31, 2025.

Dan Byrne, the new Chief Commercial Officer, joined Flood Re in 2016 and has been the Chief Risk Officer since 2017. Before that, he worked at AIG in an Enterprise Risk Management role. Following the appointment of Dan Byrne as Chief Commercial Officer, Dave Dunning, the interim CFO, will step down from the role after a handover period.

Max Bero, the new Chief Operating Officer (subject to regulatory approval), originally joined Flood Re at its formation in 2016, having previously held related roles at QBE Insurance (Europe), RSA, and Deloitte.

Rob Kerry brings over 40 years of experience from senior roles at major insurers.
