Mazak Honored with NKY Community Award for 50 Years of Regional Impact
The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) honoured Mazak Corporation with the NKY Community Award. The Japanese manufacturer, based in Oguchi, has significantly expanded its Florence facility and celebrated a half-century of regional impact.
Mazak's iSMART Factory in Florence has grown to 20 times its initial size. It now produces over 100 machine tool models, serving diverse industries. The company's Kentucky journey began in 1974, and it marked 50 years of innovation in October 2024.
Mazak's commitment to the community extends beyond production. It partners with local educational institutions to foster the next generation of skilled workers. The factory employs over 600 people, making it one of the most advanced and efficient in its sector.
