Metro stations in Moscow's center will only be accessible through the entry points on May 5
The Moscow Metro and the Moscow Central Ring will be open for regular passenger services on Easter, from 4 to 5 May, according to the latest announcements.
A number of stations, including those on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line such as "Okhotny Ryad", "Ploshchad Revolyutsii", "Teatralnaya", "Borovitskaya", "Alexandrovsky Sad", "Arbatskaya", and "Biblioteka im. Lenina", will operate as usual. These stations will be open for both regular travel and passenger transfers.
However, there are some exceptions. The station "Biblioteka im. Lenina" will only operate for transfers on Easter. Additionally, the temporary restrictions that usually apply to these stations will not be in effect on Easter. Passengers can use these stations until 2:00 on Easter.
The station "Biblioteka im. Lenina" will also operate for regular passenger services on Easter.
It's important to note that these changes are temporary and may be subject to "situational restrictions" on other metro stations at the request of the Public Security Bureau. However, it is expected that these restrictions may not occur on Easter.
Passengers are asked to be attentive, follow the rules of metro use, and comply with the requirements of the staff during their travels on Easter.
So, whether you're heading out for an Easter egg hunt or visiting family and friends, you can now rely on the Moscow Metro and the Moscow Central Ring to get you there. Enjoy your Easter travels!
