Luxury Surf Club slated for 2026 debut in Los Cabos, Mexico, boasts 400 adjustable waves hourly and high-end residential properties.

Michael Schwab, the heir to Charles Schwab's fortune, owns a $35 million wave pool located in Mexico. Learn more about his luxurious aquatic facility.

A luxury surfing resort, the Cabo Real Surf Club, is set to open in 2026 in Los Cabos, Mexico. The brainchild of Michael Schwab, a partner in the construction via his private real estate investment entity Meriwether Companies, the development promises to revolutionize the surfing landscape.

The 3,000-acre master-planned neighborhood will feature 200 luxury homes for residents, with the highlight being North America's first Endless Surf wave basin. Covering 4 acres and stretching over 800 feet, the basin will generate customizable waves reaching up to 7 feet high, offering an exhilarating surfing experience for all levels, from beginners to professionals. The basin will churn out 400 waves each hour, providing an impressive range from gentle breaks to challenging "crushing barrels."

One of the early homeowners is Erin Brooks, a 17-year-old surf prodigy, who purchased a property adjacent to the basin. Brooks is drawn to the community's lifestyle and amenities, emphasizing the "ultimate" amenities for her "surf-focused lifestyle." The private, world-class wave pool, fitness center, beach club, tennis courts, and golf course are designed to keep residents in prime physical condition and provide a comprehensive luxury environment geared towards an active, surf-centric lifestyle.

The Cabo Real Surf Club offers more than just waves. Its location, just 20 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, ensures ease of access for residents and visitors with direct flights from major U.S. cities. The community promises a unique blend of luxury living and year-round premium surfing, targeting families who value a surf-centric lifestyle. The estimated cost for the wave pool alone is $35 million, with homes ranging from $2.5 million to $6 million.

"It's more fun this way," said Schwab. "You can't put a bunch of people on that wave, just you."

In the meantime, surf enthusiasts can catch a glimpse of the future resort on Instagram (@caborealsurfclub).
