NBCUniversal & Google Ink Long-Term Deal: NBC Sports Revived on YouTube TV
NBCUniversal and Google have inked a long-term deal, announced on October 2, 2025. This partnership brings a wealth of content to various Google platforms, including the revival of NBC Sports Network on YouTube. The agreement sees a broad range of NBCUniversal's sports programming heading to YouTube. This includes the revival of NBC Sports Network, which ceased operations in 2021. Additionally, films and TV shows from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will be available on Google TV, YouTube, and YouTube. Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, will also see expanded availability. It will be accessible across Google's Android platforms, including Google Play and Google TV. Furthermore, Peacock will be offered as a subscription through YouTube Primetime Channels in the coming months. Fans can expect iconic library films from NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution on YouTube Premium and YouTube's Free Primetime Content. Short-form clips, highlights, and shows from NBCUniversal's premium programming will also be available on YouTube. The new long-term distribution agreement between NBC and YouTube ensures carriage of NBCUniversal's full portfolio of networks. This deal brings a rich variety of content to Google's platforms, enhancing the viewing experience for users.
