Mikhail Parnev, the new head of GTLK (State Transport Leasing Company), has taken the helm of Russia's largest leasing company, with a 20% share in the Russian leasing market. Parnev's appointment was announced on August 5, replacing Yevgeny Ditrich, whose reasons for departure are not specified.

GTLK, which is included in the list of systemically important organizations in the national economy, has been a long-standing partner of VEB.RF, a large Russian state development corporation. In this collaborative effort, Parnev plays a crucial role in driving the modernization of public transport in Russian cities.

Under Parnev's guidance, GTLK has successfully implemented several joint projects with VEB.RF, including leasing modern buses and other transport vehicles to city fleets, supporting the transition to more environmentally friendly and efficient transport options, and facilitating investments that improve the quality and accessibility of public transit systems.

Igor Shuvalov, during a meeting with GTLK employees, emphasised the need to strengthen their cooperation to increase efficiency. Shuvalov believes that GTLK continues to work for the benefit of Russia's economic development and strengthening international ties. He has expressed confidence in Parnev's ability to handle the tasks at hand.

Parnev's previous roles do not appear to be directly related to the leasing industry or public transport modernization, GTLK's main areas of focus. However, he has served in the Federal Agency's International Cooperation Department and has previous experience working in the central apparatus of Rosaviatsiya in the 2010s.

GTLK operates in 90% of the country's regions, demonstrating its significant impact on the transportation sector across Russia. With Parnev at the helm, the company is poised to continue its mission of modernizing public transport and contributing to the country's economic development and sustainability.

In the new role at GTLK, Mikhail Parnev will leverage partnerships with organizations like VEB.RF to drive the modernization of public transport in Russian cities, focusing on areas such as finance and sustainability in the business sector. Despite his past roles not being directly related to leasing or public transport, Parnev's experience in international cooperation and central apparatus positions can prove valuable, contributing to GTLK's mission in the industry.
