New venture initiates with a $21 million Series A funding to challenge the $45 billion market in employee benefits sector globally.

Revolutionizing the Global Benefits Industry: Origin Raises $21 Million in Series A Funding

Origin, a groundbreaking Global Benefits Intelligence platform, has officially launched and secured $21 million in Series A funding, led by Felix Capital. The funding round values the company at $106 million.

The funding will accelerate Origin's mission to revolutionize the $45 billion global benefits industry. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Origin aims to empower HR and benefits teams to strategically manage and optimize global employee benefits.

At the heart of Origin's innovation is Cuido™, the first-ever Artificial Benefits Intelligence™. Cuido™ transforms fragmented global benefits data into actionable insights, providing instant visibility, significant cost savings, and improved vendor and employee management capabilities.

The funding round saw additional investment from Acadian Ventures, Notion Capital, Tudor Havriliuc, Paul Daugherty, Jacqui Canney, and Laura Modiano. Acadian Ventures invests in companies transforming work with technology to make people's working lives simpler, more gratifying, and ultimately more productive. Notion Capital, a European B2B SaaS and Cloud VC firm with over $1bn assets under management and more than 100 investments to date, also participated in the round. Notion Capital is also the founder of Included VC, the venture capital fellowship for individuals from diverse and overlooked communities from around the world.

Felix Capital, a London-based venture capital firm, led the funding round. Felix Capital operates at the intersection of technology and creativity, aiming to be a partner of choice for the best entrepreneurs. Notion Capital invests exclusively in exceptional founders with the ambition to build global category leaders.

The global benefits sector has long been plagued by highly manual processes, complicated by multiple plan rules and unstructured data across languages. By applying AI to unify and automate data handling and employee communication, Origin facilitates greater efficiency, reduced costs, and improved strategic focus for benefits teams managing multinational programs.

Gartner reports that 55% of HR leaders' current technologies fail to meet evolving business needs. Multinational corporations annually spend hundreds of millions on employee benefits without clear oversight, effective management, or measurable ROI. Enterprises lose an estimated $6,000 per employee per year on underused, redundant, or mismanaged benefits.

Origin's AI-powered platform seeks to transform benefits management from a cumbersome administrative function into a proactive, strategic discipline on a global scale. Rather than replacing human expertise, Origin supports benefits professionals by increasing their clarity and confidence in managing sensitive and complex global benefit programs, emphasizing responsible AI use with clear data boundaries and human oversight.
