Organizational Intermunicipal Energy Alliance activates first solar power installations

In an ambitious move towards climate protection and regional energy independence, the district of Fürth, along with the market municipalities of Cadolzburg and Roßtal, have established the "Intermunicipal Energy Alliance in the district of Fürth". This alliance aims to foster sustainable energy generation and promote a greener future for the region.

One of the key initiatives of the alliance is the installation of photovoltaic systems on various buildings. In Cadolzburg, solar modules have been mounted flat on the east- and west-curved roof of the building yard. The photovoltaic system on the roof of the multi-purpose hall in Wachendorf, another location in Cadolzburg, is optimally aligned to the south, ensuring high solar power generation.

Roßtal has also joined the initiative, with a photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the sewage treatment plant. Despite the limited excess electricity expected from this facility, the move towards renewable energy is significant.

The alliance has also planned to install a tenant electricity system on the new multi-family house of the housing cooperative in Wachendorf in the near future. Moreover, the roofs of kindergartens, schools, and town halls in the participating municipalities are currently being checked for their suitability for photovoltaics.

The first photovoltaic systems of the Intermunicipal Energy Alliance have already been operationalized, with the official commissioning of one of these systems taking place on the roof of the multi-purpose hall in Wachendorf. Each system has a capacity of approximately 30 kilowatt peak.

The electricity generated from these systems is primarily consumed in the respective buildings themselves. For instance, the electricity generated on the canteen building is used exclusively in the secondary school, as it is a so-called zero-feed-in system.

The district administrator, Bernd Obst, along with mayors Sarah Höfler from Cadolzburg and Rainer Gegner from Roßtal, have expressed their support for the initiative. They agree that the Intermunicipal Energy Alliance sets a strong signal for sustainable energy supply and climate protection in the region.

While the founder of EnergieAllianz Fürth GmbH could not be identified in the provided search results, the alliance's commitment to a greener future is undeniable.

This is just the beginning of a long journey towards a more sustainable and energy-independent region. As more photovoltaic systems are installed and more buildings join the alliance, the impact on the environment and the region's energy consumption is expected to be significant.
