Our Company Wins €100M Russia Power Deal
A major deal has been struck in Russia's power sector. Our company has secured a €100 million contract with JSC Mosenergo for a 14-year service agreement on a 420 MW power generating unit at the combined heat and power plant TPP-26 in Moscow. The contract, the first of its kind awarded to an international company in Russia, covers all maintenance and management of daily service activities, as well as the supply of spares for our company's equipment in unit #8. This includes one GT26 gas turbine, one steam turbine, two air-cooled generators, and one heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). Hans-Peter Meer, Senior Vice President of our company Thermal Services, attributed this success to the high performance achieved in the previous service contract, solidifying our company's position as a leading service provider for power plants. Our company currently executes nearly 80 service contracts for gas-fired power stations, covering over 150 gas turbines, with thermal services contributing nearly half of our company Thermal Power Sector's turnover. This long-term service contract, valued at over €100 million, is a significant win for our company. It builds on our company's history in Russia, which began in 2007 when we became the first foreign company to build a power plant in Russia on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model and signed a maintenance contract for the GT26 gas turbine.
