Over 12,000 trains to run in Bihar for Diwali and Chhath celebrations, as announced by Ashwini Vaishnaw
In an effort to make travel more accessible and affordable during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, Indian Railways has announced a series of exciting initiatives.
Firstly, passengers can look forward to a special experiment during this festival season. Confirmed tickets and a 20% discount will be offered for travel between the 13th of October and the 26th, and for returns between the 17th of November and the 1st of December. This offer is expected to make travel more convenient and cost-effective for many.
Another significant announcement is the introduction of the Buddha Circuit railway route. Starting from Vaishali and extending all the way to Koderma, this new route will connect key heritage destinations related to Lord Buddha. A special Buddha Circuit Train will be launched for this purpose, providing a unique travel experience for those interested in Buddhist history and culture.
In addition to these, a Vande Bharat train will be started between Purnia and Patna, offering a modern and efficient travel option for passengers in these regions.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has also announced that a total of 12,000 trains will be operated for Bihar during the festive period. This is a significant increase, aiming to accommodate the increased travel demand during these celebratory times.
Furthermore, four Amrit Bharat trains will be launched to connect various cities. These trains will connect Delhi and Gaya, Saharsa to Amritsar, Chhapra to Delhi, and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad. These new trains are expected to improve connectivity and make travel more convenient for passengers.
