Public Sentiment Reveals Mixed Feelings About Housing, Pensions, and Poverty Reduction Under the New Government

Majority Expresses Concerns Over Potential Housing and Retirement Challenges Under New Administration (Based on Survey Results) - Preliminary Findings Show Widespread Apprehension Regarding Housing and Pension Prospects under the New Administrative Body

According to a recent survey of eligible voters aged 18 to 75, an alarming 40% each for pensions and housing, as well as 43% for poverty reduction, anticipate setbacks under the newly formed black-red coalition. For climate protection, the optimists number 19%, while the pessimists check in at 33%. Concerning waiting times for specialists, 38% expect delays, while 18% believe in a positive evolution.

On a brighter note, the majority appears hopeful about advancements in the fields of defense, economy, and migration. An impressive 53% assume the Bundeswehr's deployability will improve, while 17% dread the opposite. The optimists regarding the Bundeswehr's situation count 24%.

Migration and economy are touted as strengths of the black-red coalition, with 45% of respondents believing the new government can achieve improvements in migration control. Forty-two percent are confident in a stronger German economic competitiveness. Nevertheless, 26% for migration and 28% for the economy also foresee deterioration in these areas in the forthcoming legislative period.

The Ipsos poll, which ran from May 30 to June 1, surveyed 1000 participants and is deemed representative of the public.
