Preparing Stake Field Under Krasnoyarsk Crematorium

Let's talk about the long-awaited crematorium in Krasnoyarsk finally breaking ground. The idea of a crematorium in the city has been a hot topic for debate since way back in 2013.

The discussion about the necessity of a crematorium in the city went as far as being tabled in 2013. Contrary to expectations, the city council controversially rejected the project in 2015.

Then, in 2019, came the project from LLC "Krasnoyarsk Crematorium," which won the competition. However, it wasn't until 2023 that the firm was granted the sanitary and protective zone. The building permit was finally granted to the investor following project revisions last August.

The planned site includes a two-story crematorium building, a retail Pavilion for spiritual goods, restrooms, a parking box, and support walls.

During his annual work report on March 25, Mayor Vladislav Loginov announced that the crematorium construction was underway: currently, the foundation piling is being completed on the site.

According to the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk, he requested a timeline and delivery schedule for materials from the investor to get a sense of the completion timeline.

Previously, LLC "Krasnoyarsk Crematorium" had declared that construction would take about a year, so there's a possibility that the spiritual facility could be operational by year-end.
