Privacy Awareness Week 2025: 'It's Everyone's Business'

Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) returns from 16 to 22 June 2025, this year themed 'Privacy - it's everyone's business'. The annual event, organized by the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities Forum (APPA Forum), aims to raise awareness of privacy issues and the importance of protecting personal information.

PAW 2025 is a collaborative effort involving state and national privacy authorities, along with the APPA Forum. The campaign encourages individuals, organizations, and government agencies to actively engage and promote privacy awareness. By working together, these entities hope to foster a culture of privacy protection and responsible data management.

Throughout the week, various events and initiatives will take place to educate the public about privacy rights, data protection laws, and best practices for safeguarding personal information. These activities aim to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their digital footprint and hold organizations accountable for their data handling practices.

Privacy Awareness Week 2025 serves as a reminder that privacy is a shared responsibility. By understanding and embracing this year's theme, 'Privacy - it's everyone's business', we can all play a role in promoting and protecting privacy in our daily lives and workplaces.
