Regensburg's District Admin Gets New 156 kWp PV Carport
A new photovoltaic carport system has been inaugurated on the parking lot of the Regensburg district administration. This 156 kWp system, costing around 120,000 euros, is the second major project by KERL in 2025, following the Realschule Regenstauf's rooftop PV system.
The KERL cooperative, focusing on regional value creation and sustainable energy, has installed this system on an already sealed area, avoiding landscape and nature disruption. The system's capacity meets the district administration's actual electricity needs, providing clean and cost-effective power.
The carport system, like the previous project, avoids overproduction and relieves networks, saving costs for expansion. It's a testament to KERL's commitment to strengthening regional energy supply and competitiveness.
