Her academic journey began at Brown University in the United States, where she studied political science. Following this, she continued her education at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, graduating with a degree in International Relations in 2001. Her thirst for knowledge led her to further her studies, earning a certificate from Oxford University's Said Business School in Sustainability.
Cau's career took off in 2001 when she joined the LVMH Group. Since then, she has worked with various international business services, technical, and technology companies, including Sodexo and Idemia, honing her skills in Communications, Investor Relations, and Chief of Staff corporate management.
