Robert Valdes appointed as Head of Production at VCCP, spearheading the company's growth in U.S. markets.
Spending some time in the States now, huh?
VCCP's content studio, Girl&Bear, has just appointed Robert Valdes as their new Chief Production Officer, as they expand their operations to New York. The founder of Girl&Bear, Claire Young, refers to them as the "makers of everything."
The opening of a New York studio marks Girl&Bear's commitment to upping its social game. Young calls the U.S. team "modern and innovative," and under Valdes, they aim to create content that "feeds those social algorithms."
Valdes himself was the COO of FIG and has also held high positions at Droga5, TBWA, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky. He was drawn to VCCP's unique blend of independence, scale, and dedication to solving real-world problems.
The new New York studio will come equipped with an edit suite, an insert stage, editing and animation workstations, a photography setup, and audio recording facilities. It's designed to mimic the London studio but on a smaller scale.
Valdes plans to incorporate AI platforms, learned from his time at FIG, into the studio's strategy. By combining technology with human creativity, they hope to create innovative content without compromising quality.
With the New York studio, Girl&Bear aims to leverage its global network, same proprietary content creation software, and use AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance creativity, and make smarter decisions in content strategy.
Girl&Bear isn't just VCCP's in-house studio; they also collaborate with external production companies, agencies, and third parties. "Our motto is always about doing what's right for the work," says Young.
This U.S. launch follows recent AOR wins by VCCP, such as Flodesk and Spectrum. It's safe to say that things are looking pretty exciting over there in the U.S. for VCCP right now!
Robert Valdes, previously the COO of FIG and with a history at Droga5, TBWA, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky, aims to leverage technology within Girl&Bear's new New York studio to create innovative content that further strengthens their business in the finance and technology sectors. With the strategic use of AI platforms, he intends to combine technology with human creativity without sacrificing quality.
