Romania's Symmetrica finishes Vrancea industrial complex following EUR 15 million investment
Gonna Get Ya Some Concrete, Romania!
The baddest concrete game in town, Symmetrica, just dropped a cool EUR 15 million on a new production facility in Doaga, Vrancea county, stretching over 30 freakin' hectares! This beast is now their biggest industrial center, stacked with four production halls and a logistics warehouse. Sounds legit, right? well, it's actually the remains of Somaco Holding's old infrastructure, but who's counting?
That's not all, homie! This facility can crank out a whopping 500 cubic meters of concrete elements each day, from components for sewage infrastructure, road construction, to those badass poles for overhead power lines. Plus, it can handle about 50 truckloads daily, moving their dope concrete products like a boss!
This expansion has boosted the workforce at the Doaga site from a mere 80 to a crew of 130 concrete-crushing warriors, adding 50 new jobs to the local economy. And don’t worry about the environmental impact, fam! The joint is packed with three high-efficiency solar energy parks, generating 70% of its power needs, making it a sustainable, green energy powerhouse!
Sebastian Bobu, Symmetrica’s executive director, wasn't playing around when he said this move represented a strategic choice for the company. "Expanding production capacity, creating new jobs, and revitalizing the area's industrial tradition," Bobu explained.
And let's not forget that this ain’t Symmetrica's only major investment. Just last year, they dropped nearly EUR 50 million on a factory in Bolintin Vale, Giurgiu county. This mammoth project added 30% to the company's overall production capacity, making it the largest facility of its kind in Southeast Europe.
So, there you have it! Symmetrica's expanded operation in Doaga, Vrancea county, includes a new EUR 15 million production facility, sustainable energy integration, 50 new jobs, and a significant increase in production capacity, leaving their mark on Romania's industrial landscape and local economy.
