Ruag International's Board to Undergo Changes as Schulz, Oleas, and Spreiter Step Down
Ruag International's board is set to undergo changes with Rainer Schulz, Jürg Oleas, and Andreas Spreiter stepping down. Schulz, who has served as board president since late April, will not seek re-election due to personal reasons. The search for their successors has begun.
Schulz was appointed by the Federal Council and elected in mid-May. During his tenure, he ensured continuity with employees and business partners. He also closely accompanied Ruag International's realignment. The Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (VBS) is leading the search for Schulz's successor.
Oleas and Spreiter, who have been on the board since 2011 and 2024 respectively, are also leaving. Parliament decided to keep the aerospace division Beyond Gravity in state ownership during Schulz's tenure.
The future college board position of Ruag International after Schulz's departure mid-2026 remains unannounced. The board is now seeking qualified candidates to fill these vacancies and ensure a smooth transition.
