Destination: Conversations on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Southern California
Series Focusing on Variety, Fairness, and Representation in Organizations
Last autumn, our friends at the LA Foundation rocked the scene with a program series in sync with MUFG Bank, exploring the contemporary topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and their transformation across Southern California's vibrant industries and communities.
Kicking off in September, we zoomed in on the pivotal roles of DEI in business and leadership. From there, the series soared, touching down on the bold depictions of diversity through culinary art and diving deep into the transforming landscape of entertainment and media.
This summer, we welcomed star George Takei, the legendary screen hero, and activist, to tell his extraordinary journey as both an actor and voice for change. Alongside him was award-winning KTLA anchor, Frank Buckley, driving a captivating dialogue about the indispensable importance of diverse voices and perspectives in storytelling. Post-program, guests were graced with an intimate networking event, fostering fresh connections.
