Ng Pei Tong, a seasoned corporate finance and commercial transactions specialist, has joined Covenant Chambers as the head of M&A and capital markets. With over a decade of experience in these fields, Ng brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm.

Most notably, Ng advised Temasek Holdings on its IT and cloud joint venture with Infosys Limited. He has also represented OUE Limited in the S$908 million disposal of OUE Downtown's office components to OUE Commercial REIT. Furthermore, he acted as lead counsel to China Mining International Limited in a S$900 million proposed reverse takeover, a high-profile transaction in his career.

Ng's specialties include listings, equity and debt issues, reverse takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, and corporate restructuring exercises. He also provides counsel on employment, data protection, and regulatory compliance matters, and advises SGX-listed companies on their continuing listing obligations and corporate actions.

Covenant Chambers, which recently expanded, welcomed Ng as part of this growth. The firm now boasts 25 lawyers, including nine directors. In addition to Ng, the firm also recruited Edwin Sim from Lexton Law Corporation in October.

Between his two stints at Drew & Napier, Ng worked at Prolegis, Herbert Smith Freehills' formal law alliance firm in Singapore, and another Big Four firm, Rajah & Tann. He returned to Drew & Napier as an associate director in 2021, after starting his legal career there in 2014.

While detailed professional background and deal history for Ng Pei Tong may be found in specialized legal or financial industry databases, company press releases, professional profiles, or firm websites, current available sources do not provide authoritative details about his notable deals or areas of expertise in corporate or commercial finance. However, his impressive career trajectory and notable transactions speak volumes about his capabilities in these fields.

Ng Pei Tong, in his role as the head of M&A and capital markets at Covenant Chambers, will leverage his extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance, and business to deliver expert advice on complex transactions and regulatory compliance matters. His notable transactions, such as advising Temasek Holdings and China Mining International Limited, demonstrate his ability to handle high-profile business deals within the law.
