Alexander Uss, the president of the uni, had some wise words to share: "We inhabit a unique region with a colossal number of rivers and lakes. This natural wealth, bestowed by Mother Nature herself, requires gentleness, particularly in the face of growing tourism and sports fishing. We also need to adapt valuable northern fish species for the waterways of central and southern territories."
During the session, various topics were broached, including the training of specialists—and we're not just talking about bass guitar lessons, mate. Deputies from the Legislative Assembly, rector of Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Economics and Management, or as the cool kids call it, KrAsGAU, Natalia PYZHICOVA, dropped some knowledge on "Prepping Top-Notch Talent for the Fish Farming Scene in Siberia."
Valery Vengo, the second-in-command of the committee on rural affairs and agrolife, confirmed that fish farming is a “must-have” for Krasnoyarsk Krai.
Already, a dozen fish farms are operational in our beautiful region. Over the past five years, the regional budget has allocated around 830 million rubles to support the industry. But it's time to ramp up production to ensure availability of the tasty goodness for our fellow Kraizians.
