Tesla Boosts US Model 3 Referral Discount to $1,500
Tesla has boosted its referral incentives in the US. The electric vehicle manufacturer has upped the referral discount on the Model 3 to $1,500, doubling the previous offer. This move comes after the Model 3 was temporarily removed from the referral program earlier this year.
The new referral discount applies to both new buyers and existing owners purchasing a Tesla stock. Additionally, existing owners now receive $1,000 in Tesla Credits for a successful referral, a significant increase from the previous $500. Despite the increased benefits, the Model 3 remains ineligible for discounts in the US.
Tesla's referral program has seen several changes recently. In late November, the company doubled its referral benefits, offering $1,000 off on a Model 3 or Model Y, and $2,000 off on a Model S or Model X. However, it's important to note that the reduction of the referral sales reward program for the Model 3 in the US was announced earlier, but the exact date is not specified. Owners in the US were notified of the changes via the Tesla app.
Tesla's latest move to increase the referral discount on the Model 3 to $1,500, along with the boost in Tesla Credits for referrals, is expected to encourage more owners to refer their friends and family to the brand. Despite the Model 3's ongoing ineligibility for discounts in the US, these increased incentives could drive more sales and strengthen Tesla's referral program.
