Toyota Kirloskar Motor Sales Surge 16% in September 2025
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a strong car sales performance in September 2025, with a year-on-year increase of 16% to 31,091 cars. This growth was driven by robust domestic car sales and exports, marking a significant improvement from the previous months.
The positive car sales trend began in June 2025 and peaked in August, with September's car sales showing a 9.2% decline from August but still a 16% increase from September 2024. For the first half of the financial year (April-September 2025), TKM sold 184,959 cars, a 14% increase from the same period in 2024.
Contributing to this success was the introduction of the enhanced Rumion with six airbags as standard in September 2025. Additionally, Toyota passed on full GST benefits to customers, boosting demand across its car portfolio. The car export segment also showed robust growth in September 2025, with 4,002 cars shipped abroad.
Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, attributed the strong September performance to GST reforms and festive season momentum. Toyota also announced its association with DRUM TAO as brand ambassadors during the same month. With these positive factors at play, TKM's car sales are expected to remain strong in the coming months.
