UAE Honoured at World Green Economy Summit for Carbon Neutrality Push
The UAE's commitment to sustainability was recognised at the World Green Economy Summit, where Dubai honoured 33 winners from 24 countries. The UAE aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, with international collaboration playing a key role.
The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy plans to expand its projects and continue promoting the Emirates Energy Award. Over 250 projects from various regions competed in the fifth edition of the award. The UAE's solar capacity has reached around 20 gigawatts, demonstrating significant progress in its transition towards sustainable energy.
The UAE collaborates internationally with partners such as the European Union, China, and multinational energy companies. These partnerships focus on global methane reduction efforts and advancing sustainable futures. Ahmad Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, highlighted the UAE's vision for a green economy and focus on renewable energy through the Emirates Energy Award.
