Wages increase in Kazakhstan on average
In the second quarter of 2025, Kazakhstan witnessed a notable rise in average monthly wages across various sectors. The median wage for the country stood at 316,152 tenge, marking a 7.8% increase from the education and healthcare sectors.
The agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector recorded the largest increase, with wages growing by 23.7%. Close behind, the information and communications sector saw a 24% rise in average monthly wages. The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector also experienced a significant increase of 16.9%.
The wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector registered a 16.1% increase, while the average monthly wage in the sector of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply showed an increase of 16.9%.
The Almaty region and the Karaganda region reported the fourth-highest and fifth-highest increases, respectively, at 14.6% and 14%. The second-highest increase was observed in Astana at 15.4%. The city of Almaty also recorded the third-highest increase at 15.3%.
