Wanted: Perpetrators, witnesses, and victims in Munich case – Federal police uncover more offenses during video examination; Rewards for bravery and cooperation
The Federal Police in Munich are currently seeking information about an unknown assailant who is suspected of serious physical violence. On August 13th, the suspect allegedly pushed a 63-year-old man down several stairs at Pasing station in Munich without any apparent provocation.
The incident was captured on video by one of the helpers who intervened, providing crucial evidence for the investigation. However, the assailant managed to bite one of the helpers during the altercation, allowing him to flee in an unknown direction.
The police have released surveillance images and temporarily arrested a suspect, but the man was initially at large and considered potentially armed. The Federal Police Inspection Munich, responsible for policing and criminal investigations in the area of Deutsche Bahn facilities and the largest German S-Bahn network, has initiated video analysis which revealed two further offenses.
One of these offenses occurred at Pasing station, related to the pushing incident, and another at the S-Bahn station Karlsplatz (Stachus). Video analysis revealed that the same assailant had previously threatened and spat at two other unknown men at the S-Bahn station Karlsplatz (Stachus) around 21:10.
The Federal Police are investigating the offenses of dangerous bodily harm and are seeking witnesses and victims of these incidents. The assailant is described as North African/Southern European phenotype, approximately 30 years old, approximately 170 cm tall, bald with a goatee beard and glasses, muscular build, well-groomed, dressed in a white T-shirt, black shorts, and distinctive yellow Asics sports shoes.
Two unknown helpers intervened and prevented further harm to the victim at Pasing station. The 63-year-old German man reported the incident at Pasing police station and sustained a wrist sprain, scrapes on his knee, and elbow.
