Zhaoxin Unveils Powerful Kaisheng KH-50000 Server Processor
Zhaoxin has revealed its latest server processor, the Kaisheng KH-50000. This new chip boasts impressive expansion capabilities and memory support, marking a significant step forward for the company.
The KH-50000 features a whopping 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes and 16 PCIe 4.0 lanes, enabling extensive expansion possibilities. Zhaoxin has employed a chiplet design, much like AMD's EPYC processors, for enhanced flexibility and scalability.
The processor supports up to 12 channels of DDR5-5200 RAM, allowing for a staggering 3TB of memory. For security, Zhaoxin has integrated National Technology's fourth-generation trusted computing chip into the KH-50000.
Each die in the KH-50000 contains eight cores and 32MB of L3 cache, providing ample processing power. The KH-50000 is compatible with the socket SP5 and supports both 2S and 4S systems. It also supports x86 32-bit and 64-bit instructions, including SSE4.2, AVX, and AVX2 for enhanced performance.
The KH-50000 will be available in two variants: a 96-core and a 72-core SKU, catering to different performance needs. Built on Zhaoxin's latest Century Avenue architecture, the KH-50000 is set to make waves in the server market, offering robust performance and expansion capabilities.
